Manihi is a French Polynesian coral atoll isolated in the middle of the South Pacific. Here I got a chance to learn about the local culture and traditions with the help of a black-pearl farmer, an artisan weaver, and some intrepid fishermen — not to mention a few new friends with ukuleles!
Tahiti’s Island of Moorea Keeps us Coming Back for More
The island of Moorea, just a short ferry ride from Tahiti, is about as exotic as it gets. I was lucky enough to swim with stingrays, sharks, and dolphins; ride an ATV up the magic mountain to explore ancient Maori ruins; and even play a round of golf on one of the world’s most beautiful courses.
